In the affidavit Dr Anand Rai alleged that CM called him to his official residence in Bhopal on August 11 and asked him to stop campaign against Chouhan and his family members in Vyapam and DMAT scam.
Advocate Anand Mohan Mathur, counselor for petitioner, said the meeting lasted for more than one hour from 9.45pm to 10.50pm and during the meeting CM assured to cancel the transfer of Dr Rai and his wife, also a doctor, from Indore to Dhar, if he stops the campaign. CM also assured that he will instruct the advocate general office to give this in writing before the High Court.
Dr Rai and his wife were recently transferred to Dhar, and to challenge this petition was filed before HC. On August 6 HC granted stay over the transfer on the ground that Dr Rai is a whistleblower and his transfer was done after Vyapam case was handed over to CBI.
Mathur claims that Chouhan had said that whitleblower can continue his campaign against Vyapam and DMAT scam, but he should not drag chief minister and his family members into it.
Mathur said petitioner refused to accept the proposal of CM and after that particular meeting three more complaints were filed against Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his family.
He said court has granted one week time to file counter affidavit and now chief minister will have to have an affidavit.
Meanwhile, principal secretary to CM S K Mishra said meeting with the chief minister was arranged on the request of Dr Rai, who wanted to share some information about the scam.
