RADICAL SOCIALIST STATEMENT ON IIT MADRAS' DERECOGNITION OF AMBEKAR-PERIYAR STUDY CIRCLE
We condemn the decision taken by the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras), on May 22, to 'derecognise' the Ambedkar-Periyar Study Circle (APSC), an independent student body of the institution.
The Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) in New Delhi claims to have received an anonymous complaint about 'the distribution of controversial posters and pamphlets' by APSC in the IIT Madras campus. The nature of this allegedly controversial material was simply anti-Modi views. This got the government's hackles up, as it is determined to silence all critical voices, especially voices from outside the spectrum of parliamentary parties, Following this, the HRD ministry wrote to IIT Madras and asked the institution to respond about the above matter. The Dean of Students (DoS) of IIT Madras decided to derecognise the student group even before APSC got a chance to explain their end of the story.
The APSC was created in April 2014 to foster conversation and raise awareness about Ambedkar-Periyar and rampant caste violence in the country. In June 2014, the Dean of Students, Dr. M.S. Sivakumar, directed APSC to change the name of the group; because according to him 'Ambedkar Periyar' are politically motivated names, and student organisations should be apolitical and should not have names of individuals. No such decree for right-wing organisations operating under the name of 'Vivekananda Study Circle.' Consider this one gem of an example from the Vivekananda Study Circle website: The title of the page is 'Is Kali Black?' and has the following quote claimed by them to be from The Gospel of Ramakrishna—"Is Kali, my Divine Mother, of a black complexion? She appears black because She is viewed from a distance; but when intimately known She is no longer so. The sky appears blue at a distance; but look at it close by and you will find that it has no colour. India is a society replete with caste violence. Some estimates claim that each week: 13 Dalits are murdered; 5 Dalit homes are burned down; 6 Dalit people are kidnapped or abducted; 21 Dalit women are raped. It is not a coincidence that majority of manual scavengers are from the downtrodden classes. There are systemic and structural issues in Indian society why such violence happens on a regular basis and are under-reported in the mainstream media. It is important that such issues are talked about more, and we stand in solidarity with every initiative that raises awareness about caste violence, Ambedkar and Periyar. The egregious politics of skin colour, as the example cited above suggests, and violence towards the downtrodden caste is prevalent in Indian society. We cannot eradicate caste distinction by not talking about it, by avoiding to name organisations after Ambedkar-Periyar—it is exactly the opposite—we need to confront caste politics head on as a nation, admit the historical injustices meted out to dalits, adivasis and other lower castes, and admit that a lot of it are ongoing.
We understand that this current action by the HRD ministry to pressurise IIT Madras, and the subsequent actions taken by the Dean of Students to be a continuation of the brahminisation project of the hindutva forces in the Indian polity, whose most recent manifestations have been in the spate of ghar-wapsi, church violence and increase in incidents of communal violence across the country. We decry all such efforts by the hindutva forces, the direct involvement of the government in arm twisting anti-brahminical endeavours and condemn IIT Madras, the premiere institution that it is, for the shameful decision to intimidate and muzzle conversation on caste.
We also condemn the failure of the so called liberal oppositions. It is significant that only after two days of hue and cry in the Social Media did the liberal mainstream media report on the issue. For mainstream politics, there are certain shared premises. While the alleged upholders of political liberalism and secularism condemn actions of the Sanghis, they do not desire to challenge the upper caste dominations. We call upon all Marxist and socialist forces to recognise that without a serious attack on the oppression of the lower castes, the unity of the toilers cannot be achieved, and therefore, fighting for the rights of dalits is a vital part of any genuine Marxist politics in India.
Finally, we stress that the ban on the APSC is part of the increasing violation of democratic rights. It is therefore necessary for the APSC and their supporters, as well as for any organisation fighting for democratic rights, to link up this specific struggle (the restoration of the rights of the APSC) with the general struggle for democratic rights.

NB: Whether or not we agree with Professor Kancha Ilaiah, he has every right to engage in critical inquiry about religion. If it hurts anyone's sentiments, it is just too bad. They have to learn that many of us are equally perturbed about the atmosphere of intimidation and intolerance that has been created by people more interested in power than in God. Respect for religion is one thing, but we are not all obliged to be religious, or to refrain from voicing our doubts about religion. Our constitution allows space for critical inquiry, and if it did not, it would be useless as the statute of a democratic polity. This case should be fought and we should voice our support for Professor Ilaiah's right to publish and debate his ideas. People who don't like them are free to publish their criticisms and even condemnations. It is certainly not a matter for the police. DS
The Hyderabad police have registered a case against renowned social scientist Kancha Ilaiah, after Vishwa Hindu Parishad activists complained that an opinion piece he wrote in the Telugu newspaper Andhra Jyothi had hurt their religious sentiments. They filed their complaint at Hyderabad's Sultan Bazar Station was filed on May 9, the day Ilaiah's article titled Devudu Prajasamya Vada Kada? (Is God a democrat?) was published.
VHP activists Pagudakula Balaswamy, Thirupathi Naik and two others accused Ilaiah of comparing Hinduism with Islam and Christianity, insulting Hindu Gods by comparing them to mortals, mocking their worship, and for attempting to trigger clashes between upper and lower classes (by which they presumably meant castes).
On the basis of their complaint, Inspector P. Shiva Shankar Rao wrote a letter to the Senior Assistant Public Prosecutor, who advised the police to register a case under Section 153 (A) and Section 295 (A), which empower the authorities to act against people who commit deliberate and malicious acts aiming at outraging religious sentiment and spreading enmity between groups.
Case under investigation: The public prosecutor's legal opinion led to a case being filed on May 15 against Ilaiah, the management of the Andhra Jyothi newspaper, its editor and publisher. The case is currently under investigation, at the completion of which a decision will be taken to whether to chargesheet them.
A police officer at the station told Scroll that Ilaiah is in the habit of articulating provocative views in his articles, which can and do hurt the sentiments of people. "Why does he have to make comments against practices which are dear to people?" the officer said, declining to give his name. The central thesis of the article is that a society's social and political structures are profoundly influenced by its conception of God and by its religious beliefs.
Three conceptions of God: Ilaiah delineates three types of Gods: an Abstract God, one who is shapeless and eternal; individuals who were prophets but were transformed into Gods; and Gods imagined as humans. Each category conveys certain ideas through their attributes, Ilaiah claims.
The Abstract God has democratic qualities, he contended. The first of these characteristics, as expressed in the Bible and the Koran, is that God "has created all human beings equal". The second democratic character of this kind of God is that humans are created superior to all animals (including the cow), and "nature and its creatures have been created for food and other human purposes".
Both Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammad propounded these ideas, he said. However, in contrast to the Prophet Mohammad, Christ acquired the status of God, as did Gautam Buddha, he writes. "Buddha and Jesus are against violence," he wrote. "Their teaching inspired hopes for equality across the whole human race. Both their life stories have extended discussions on societal construction, change in man-woman relationships, desired forms of rule and democratic values."
However, Ilaiah rates Jesus Christ ahead of Buddha in espousing democratic ideals. "His fight for the freedom of Samaritans (Dalits over there), women, Gentile men and women, slaves and prostitutes, seem to be one step ahead of the Buddha's democratic values," he claimed. "He is the one who clearly stated about the necessity of separating state and religion."
Separating religion and state: The social scientist wrote that Christ's teachings have helped Christian countries to evolve democratic principles. By contrast, despite the great emphasis in the Koran on the equality of all humans, there was no separation of religion and state during the life of Prophet Mohammad and during the reign of the four Caliphs. This may be why dictatorships have dominated Muslim countries, which have feeble democratic traditions, Ilaiah suggested.
Next, Ilaiah turns to the third category – God as imagined as humans. Though this type of Gods is found around the world, he says it is only in India they are divided into two entities: "Vishnu and his clan of incarnations" and "Shiva and the divine powers created around him". The Saiva school's impact on contemporary India was limited, he writes. It did not really create social-political principles. By contrast, institutions and political parties in India have declared "spiritual and political allegiance to Vaishnavism and its Gods".
Ilaiah, therefore, suggests that it is more important to study the impact of Vaishnavism on Indian society. The narratives and imagery around Rama and Krishna, who are incarnations of Vishnu, involved violence and weaponry such as the chakram, bow and arrow and the trishul (trident), he writes. This has a bearing on human relations, he contends.
Caste identities: Ilaiah also alleges that these narratives contain what he calls the "counter-democratic process". The fact that these Gods have identities rooted in the Kshatriya caste "has greatly helped in building an undemocratic system", he wrote.
The article ends with a few questions: "If the God believed by a person doesn't have democratic values, where will this person get those democratic values from? In fact, shouldn't they explain why they create such Gods who are violent, undemocratic and anti-women?" Ilaiah told Scroll that he was not perturbed by the case. "I am into transforming thought," he said. "Such pressure is expected. I am not scared. My motive is to make the nation rethink its uncivilised conduct."
Statement of support: He is not without his supporters. On May 27, Andhra Jyothi carried a statement by 76 Telugu writers, intellectuals and artists backing Ilaiah. The statement said, "Prof. Kancha Ilaiah wrote an article by describing the democratic values and showing how negative spiritual values come in the way of development of national economic, social and political future."
His supporters urged his opponents to counter his arguments in articles of their own. "Instead, in order to control Prof. Ilaiah's ideas, some forces are resorting to legal and coercive methods, which cannot be supported by anybody," the statement said. The statement concludes, "Today, Kancha Ilaiah's writings are making the world think afresh. Only the communal bigots are unable to understand those ideas."

शनिवारी दुपारी सुमेध जाधव यांच्या कार्यालयातून कोअर कमिटी सदस्य राहुल गायकवाड यांचा मला फोन आला, " सोमवारी दुपारी २ वाजता मंत्रालयासमोर जावकसने निदर्शने करावयाची" त्यांना म्हटले, " सर्वांशी मसलत करून ठरवू" ते म्हणाले, " संध्याकाळी शाम सोनार यांचा तुम्हाला फोन येईल." संध्याकाळी सोनारांचा फोन आला. ते म्हणाले विविध संघटना आणि जावकस मिळून निदर्शन करायचे ठरले आहे" मी विचारले, " या संघटना कोणत्या? त्यांची नावे/ नम्बर्स द्या. मी त्यांच्याशी बोलून घेतो आणि मुग तुमच्याशी बोलतो." त्यावर सोनारांचा फोन/ संघटनांची नावे/ नंबर्स काहीही आले नाही. हे असे निर्णय काही ठराविक लोकांनी इतर घटक संघटनांना डावलून/ न विचारता घ्यायचे आणि इतरांवर लादायचे हे सातत्याने चालले आहे.संघटनेतील विसंवाद झाकून ठेवण्यासाठी इतर अश्या निर्णयाशी सहमती दर्शवितात पण त्यामुळे अश्या एकाधिकार प्रवृत्तीला बळकट मिळत जाते.
या निमित्ताने आणखीहि एक महत्वाचा प्रश्न उपस्थित होतो. संघटनेच्या ह्या अंतर्गत बाबी म्हणून ह्या गोपनीय मानायच्या आणि ज्या जनतेसाठी काम करायचे तिला संघटनेची कार्यपद्धती, आणि संघटनेच्या रचनेसंबंधीच्या माहितीचा हक्क नाकारायचा? संघटनेविषयी जाणून घेण्याचा आणि संघटनेच्या कामकाजावर अभिप्राय /मते/सूचना नोंदविण्याच्या अधिकार जनतेला नाकारायचा? संघटनाअंतर्गत लोकशाही तत्वांची पायमल्ली करायची आणि जनतेला लोकशाही अधिकारांपासून वंचित ठेवायचे संघटनेच्या गोपनीयतेच्या नावाखाली आणि सरकारकडे माहितीच्या अधिकाराची मात्र मागणी करायची हा दुटप्पी व्यवहार आहे.

आगे समय बेहद कठिन है और किसी भी तरह की जनपक्षधरता का अंजाम बेहद चुनौतीभरा हो सकता है,जिनसे निपटने के लिए में देश के एक एक नागरिक को संबोधित करके उन्हें सच का सामना करने वास्ते हर हालत में तैयार करना होगा वरना हम जीने या मरने काबिल भी नहीं रहेंगे।

अतिक्रमण का बहाना बना कर उजाड़े वन गुर्ज्जर और बाढ़ पीड़ित . खुले आसमान के नीचे भयंकर लू में पड़े हैं छोटे . छोटे बच्चों के साथ . ’’ उजाड़ने के नाम पर पीड़ितों के जेवर, नकदी, बर्तन, आनाज, बिस्तर और कपड़े भी लूटे . सभी हैंडपंप भी उखाड़ कर ले गए , इस गरमी में बिना पानी के पड़े हैं पीड़ित . ’’ सरकारी स्कूल भी किया ध्वस्त . बाक़ी दिन इस झुलसती धूप में सरकारी अध्यापक ने खुले आसमान के नीचे चलाया स्कूल .

आम पोखरा रेंज के शिवनाथपुर में 21 मई को वन विभाग द्वारा उजाड़े गए खत्तों की जांच रिपोर्ट -

'' डीएफओ राहुल सैकड़ों पुलिस, पीएसी, वनकर्मी के साथ ही लगभग 200 गुंडों . वन तस्करों को भी दर्जनों ट्रेक्टर ट्राली के साथ लेकर आए थे . पुलिस - पीएसी ने जनता को खदेड़ा और एसडीएम की मौजूदगी में डीएफओ के निर्देश पर गुंडों . वन तस्करों ने झोपड़ियाँ तोड़ लकड़ी और जनता का सामान लूट कर ट्रेक्टर ट्रालियों में भरा .
हल्द्वानी - 21 मई को उत्तराखंड के रामनगर , जिला नैनीताल के आमपोखारा रेंज के शिवनाथपुर में वन विभाग द्वारा बल पूर्वक उजाड़े गए खत्तों की जांच के लिए 23 मई को अखिल भारतीय किसान महासभा की एक जांच ( तथ्यान्वेषी ) टीम ने क्षेत्र का दौरा किया और झुलसती धूप में खुले आसमान के नीचे अपने बच्चों को लेकर पड़े पीड़ितों से मुलाकाल की . टीम में अखिल भारतीय किसान महासभा के राष्ट्रीय सचिव कामरेड पुरुषोत्तम शर्मा , वरिष्ठ किसान नेता कामरेड बहादुर सिंह जंगी , गुर्ज्जर नेता गुलाम नवी , मो. कासिम और मौलाना अतीक अहमद शामिल थे . टीम ने उजाड़े गए वन गुर्ज्जर परिवारों और बाढ़ पीड़ित अनुसूचित जाति के परिवारों के ध्वस्त हुए घरों को देखा और मौके पर लगभग 60 प्रत्यक्षदर्शी लोगों से मुलाक़ात कर घटना की जानकारी ली . टीम ने क्षेत्र में आतंक का माहौल बनाने के लिए जीप व मोटर साइकिलों से घूम रही वन विभाग की टीमों को भी बातचीत के लिए रोकने की कोशिश की मगर वे जांच टीम को देखते ही गाड़ियां दौड़ा कर भाग गए , बाद में जब पीड़ितों से मिलने के बाद जांच टीम वन अधिकारियों से मिलने सायं 4 बजे स्थानीय वन चैकी पर पर पहुंची तो वन चैकी पर ताला लगा था और सभी वन अधिकारी और कर्मचारी चैकी से गायब थे , हालांकि वन कर्मियों की मोटर साइकिलें चैकी पर ही खड़ी थी.
घटना स्थल का बारीकी से निरीक्षण करने व प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों से बातचीत कर जो तथ्य जांच टीम के सामने आये वे निम्न हैं दृ
1 . यहाँ पर लगभग पांच दशकों से ज्यादा समय से बसे वन गुर्ज्जरों के 19 परिवार हैं . जो अपने परम्परागत पेशे पशुपालन व खेती से अपना गुजारा करते आए हैं . ये गुर्ज्जर परिवार पहले मलानी रेंज में रहते थे , मगर सन् 1962 के करीब मलानी रेंज को कार्बेट पार्क में शामिल करने के बाद वन विभाग ने इन परिवारों को आम पोखरा रेंज के शिवनाथपुर में लाकर बसा दिया था . वहां से इनके साथ ही हटाए गए पहाड़ी परिवारों को रिन्गोड़ा में एक . एक एकड़ जमीन देकर बसाया गया था . ये परिवार तब से ही यहाँ बसे हैं . वन विभाग ने 21 मई को इनमें से मात्र मो. अली और बशीर नाम के दो परिवारों के घरों को कुछ दिनों की मौहलत के लिए छोड़ कर बाक़ी 17 परिवारों के सभी छप्परों को तोड़ दिया है . जिन वन गुर्ज्जर परिवारों के छप्परों को ध्वस्त कर उनके सामान की लूटपाट की गयी उनके नाम हैं दृ अली हुसेन , गुलान नवी , रोशनद्दीन , सद्दीक , मो. सफी पुत्र मो. आलम , फरीद , मो. सफी पुत्र मुन्ना , नूर अली , रहमान , मासूम अली , मो. याकूब , अहमद अली , लियाकत अली , वजीर अली , शमशेर अली , मो. उमर , अलीजान के परिवार .
2 . गुर्ज्जरों में एक और परिवार है जो पिछले 2 साल से खुद डीएफओ द्वारा इजाजत मिलने के बाद यहाँ बसा है . रहमान नाम के इस गुर्ज्जर परिवार ने जमीन नहीं जोती है और वह सिर्फ पशुचारक ही है . इसके छप्पर को भी तोड़ दिया गया है और उसमें आग भी लगा दी .
3 . अनुसूचित जाति की पीड़ित उमेदीदेवी ने बताया कि क्षेत्र में उजाड़े गए 37 परिवार अनुसूचित जाति के हैं . जो पहले शिवनाथपुर पुरानी बस्ती में पथरवा व कोसी नदी के बाँध के डूब क्षेत्र में सन् 1962 से बसे थे . पिछले वर्ष दिनांक 18 . 07 . 2014 को आई भयानक बाढ़ में इन परिवारों का सब कुछ बह गया था . जिला प्रशासन ने इन्हें तब 3 दिनों तक रा.पू.मा. विद्यालय शिवनाथपुर में रखा था . उसके बाद उपजिलाधिकारी ने इन्हें सुरक्षित ऊंचे स्थान पर बसने के लिए वर्तमान स्थान पर बसाया . यहाँ बसने के लिए खुद जिला प्रशासन ने इन्हें त्रिपाल , पोलीथीन , राशन व बर्तन भी दिए तथा नकद मुआवजा भी दिया . जिला प्रशासन की ओर से एसडीएम ने सुरक्षित पुनर्वास होने तक इन्हें यहाँ बसने का आश्वासन दिया था . इन सभी बाढ़ पीड़ित अनुसूचित जाति के परिवारों की सूची स्थानीय प्रशासन से लेकर राज्य शासन तक सभी जगह पहले से मौजूद है .
4 . इनके अलावा वन अधिकारियों ने इन वन गुर्ज्जरों व अनुसूचित जाति के बाढ़ पीड़ितों की आड़ लेकर आर्थिक लालच में कुछ अन्य स्थानीय लोगों को कुछ समय पहले वहां बसाने का प्रयास किया था . इन्हीं लोगों ने बड़े पैमाने पर जंगल को नुकसान पहुंचाया .
5 . गुर्ज्जर खत्ते में चल रहे राजकीय प्राथमिक विद्यालय तुमड़िया खत्ता के छप्पर को भी तोड़ दिया गया और उसके सामान को भी तोड़फोड़ कर नस्ट कर दिया गया . इस विद्यालय का इसी साल उच्चीकरण भी हुआ है . विद्यालय के प्रभारी अध्यापक जगदीश चन्द्र ने छुट्टियों से पूर्व एक सप्ताह खुले आसमान और चिलचिलाती धूप में विद्यालय चलाया . इस विद्यालय में 55 बच्चे पढ़ते हैं .
6 . गुर्ज्जर खत्ते में बनी मश्जिद की छप्पर को भी तोड़ कर पूरी तरह ध्वस्त कर दिया गया . डीएफओ ने वजीर अली , शमशेर अली , और रहमान की झोपड़ियों को अपने सामने आग के हवाले कर राख में तब्दील करा दिया .
7 . गुर्ज्जर खत्ते और अनुसूचित जाति की बस्ती से सभी हैण्ड पंपों को उखाड़कर लूट लिया गया . इस भीषण गरमी में लोग बिना पानी के तड़पने के लिए मजबूर किए गए हैं .
8 . खत्तों को उजाड़ने की कार्यवाही का विरोध करने या अपना सामान उठाने जाने वालों से पुलिस - पीएसी ने मारपीट की और उन्हें दूर खदेड़ दिया . इस कार्यवाही के दौरान किसी भी पीड़ित को उसके छप्पर के पास नहीं आने दिया गया .
9 . गुर्ज्जर खत्ते के पीड़ितों ने बताया की डीएफओ राहुल को जब उन्होंने कहा कि साहब हमारी झोपड़ी मत तोड़ो हम कहाँ जायेंगे ? तो डीएफओ राहुल ने कहा कि तुम्हें तुम्हारे पाकिस्तान पहुंचाऊंगा . ये जंगल मेरा है मैं यहाँ तुम्हें नहीं रहने दूँगा . गुलाम नवी , असरफ अली और अन्य ने बताया कि डीएफओ राहुल कह रहा था कि इन वन गुर्ज्जरों को यहाँ से खदेड़ कर ही रहूंगा .
10 . राज्य के एसटीएससी कमीशन की पूर्व सदस्य व देवीपुरा की पूर्व ग्राम प्रधान सरस्वती आजाद ने बताया कि वे स्वयं मौके पर उजाड़ने की कार्यवाही का विरोध करने पहुंची तो उनके साथ भी पुलिस ने अभद्रता की . उन्होंने कहा डीएफओ अपने साथ पुलिस फ़ोर्स के साथ ही लगभग 200 गुंडों व वन तस्करों की फ़ौज भी लाया था .
10 . पीड़ित आसरा खातून बताया कि उसके हार , बुँदे , कंगन , नाक का फूल , बिच्छू , पायल , तांवे व पीतल के बर्तन सब लूट ले गए . पीड़ित जसपाल ने बताया कि 28 मई को बेटी की शादी है . आधे तोले सोने का कनफूल बहू के लिए बनाया था और शादी का सामान इकठ्ठा किया था बिस्तर , राशन , बर्तन , कपड़े , चारपाई , ड्रम सब लूट ले गए . यही नहीं लकवे से पीड़ित उनके पिता को भी खुली धूप में बाहर पटक गए .
11 . अहमद अली ने बताया कि बाढ़ पीड़ितों को तो वन विभाग ने नोटिस दिया था पर गुर्ज्जरों को कोई नोटिस नहीं दिया गया .
12 . पीड़ित अनुसूचित जाति की कमलादेवी , वैजन्तीदेवी , भागुली देवी , लीलावती देवी , बचुली देवी , कमला , देबुली देवी , खष्टी देवी , दीवानचंद आदि ने बताया कि उनका सारा सामान जिसमें कपड़े , बिस्तर , राशन , चारपाई , बर्तन आदि थे डीएफओ के निर्देश पर उठा ले गए . लगभग 20 ट्रेक्टर ट्रालियों में लदा झोपड़ियों की लकड़ी और घर का सामान कहाँ गया कुछ पता नहीं .
13 - डीएफओ ने घटना का मोबाइल से फोटो व बीडियो बना रहे मो. उमर व अली जान का मोबाइल भी छीन लिया और उन्हें नहीं लौटाया .
14 . लगभग दो दर्जन ट्रेक्टर ट्रालियों में लाद कर ले जाया गया झोपड़ियों की लकड़ी , लोगों का घरेलू सामान का पता करने जब हम स्थानीय वन चैकी पहुंचे तो वहाँ पर मात्र एक झोपड़ी में लगाने लायक लकड़ी भी नहीं पड़ी थी . इसके अलावा और कुछ भी सामान चैकी परिसर में नहीं था . जबकि जब्त सामान को वन चैकी में होना चाहिए था .
निष्कर्ष
1 . वन भूमि के अतिक्रमणकारी कह कर जिन वन गुर्ज्जरों व बाढ़ पीड़ित अनुसूचित जाति के 55 परिवारों को उजाड़ा गया वे अतिक्रमण कारी नहीं थे . बल्कि पांच दशक पहले वन गुर्ज्जरों को वन विभाग ने तथा एक साल पहले बाढ़ पीड़ित अनुसूचित जाति के 37 परिवारों को खुद एसडीएम ने यहाँ लाकर पुनर्वासित किया था .
2 . बाढ पीड़ित अनुसूचित जाति के परिवारों को यहाँ लाकर बसाने वाले एसडीएम उन्हें अतिक्रमण कारी बताकर खुद उजाड़ने के अभियान में शामिल थे . लोगों द्वारा पूछने पर वे मौन साधे रहे . इससे जाहिर होता है कि इस कार्यवाही के लिए कहीं ऊपर से प्रत्यक्ष राजनीतिक दबाव था .
3 - डीएफओ राहुल द्वारा मुस्लिम समुदाय से ताल्लुक रखने वाले वन गुर्ज्जरों को पाकिस्तान भेजने की बात कहना बताता है कि वे धार्मिक विद्वेष की भावना और साम्प्रदायिक मानसिकता से ग्रसित व्यक्ति हैं और इसी मानसिकता के चलते उन्होंने वन गुर्ज्जरों को निशाना बनाया .
4 . पीड़ित परिवारों के सामान की लूटपाट की घटना सुनियोजित थी जिसे अंजाम देने के लिए डीएफओ राहुल अपने साथ पुलिस पीएसी के अलावा गुंडों व वन तस्करों की फ़ौज लेकर आए थे
5 . इस कार्यवाही में दूरगामी राजनीतिक स्वार्थों की पूर्ति के लिए मुख्य रूप से वन गुर्ज्जरों को निशाना बनाया गया . वन गुर्ज्जरों पर हमले को जायज ठहराने के लिए बाढ़ पीड़ितों को भी निशाना बनाया गया .
मांग .
1 . साम्प्रदायिक भावना से काम करने वाले डीएफओ राहुल को तत्काल पद से हटाया जाय और गुंडों व वन तस्करों के साथ खुले संबंधों और वनाधिकार कानून 2006 के उलंघन के लिए उसके खिलाफ कानूनी कार्यवाही की जाय .
2 . वन गुर्ज्जरों व बाढ़ पीड़ित अनुसूचित जाती के 55 परिवारों की सभी टूटी झोपड़ियों को वन विभाग से तत्काल बनवाया जाय ,
3 - लोगों के लूटे गए सामान, जेवर व नगदी की वन विभाग से तत्काल भरपाई कराई जाय और डीएफओ राहुल के साथ ही मौके पर मौजूद वन , प्रशासन व पुलिस के अधिकारियों के खिलाफ गुंडों . वन तस्करों का इस्तेमाल कर लूटपाट कराने का मुकदमा दर्ज किया जाय .
4 - जब तक वन गुर्ज्जरों व बाढ़ पीड़ितों का स्थाई पुनर्वास न हो जाय तब तक उन्हें वर्तमान जगह से न हटाया जाय .
