It is a very welcome intiative.In 1978,I was a student in DSB College Nainital.I visited the Uttarkashi zone upto Bhatwari after the flash flood.We have been warning since then.Tehri dam was built after the tragedy.Now Uttarakhand is energy Province.The Himalayas is under continuous destruction.This time, the calamity is not limited to any particular region as it happened in 1970 floods,1978 floods,1991 earthquake.The tragedy spanned over the middle Hiamalays from Himachal to Nepal.It is red alert for the nation. The religious tourism made it national involvement.It is hightime to focus on the issue of imminent disaster.Rivers always flow downstream.The watershed greatest is breaking up and birsting glaciers would not spare anything in the southasian geopolitics.I expect your team to do the good relevant thing.
