Turkey has been committing war crimes, crimes against humanity, and
massacres against the Kurdish people, while the conscience of the
international community has remained shamefully silent and unable to
take any decision to halt this aggression and dangerous crimes. Turkey
remains undeterred in its dual-pronged war to impose a complete siege
of Kurdish areas by chemical weapon attacks as well as illegal arrests
of Members of Parliament and civil society leaders.
It has been confirmed that as many as 35 Kurdish guerrillas have lost
their life in the operation carried out by the Turkish Armed Forces
between 22-24 October, 2011
Twenty-four bodies are held at Malatya Forensic Institute's morgue.
Families and IHD officials who have seen the bodies have confirmed
that they were torn to pieces and had burns all over, signs which
indicates the use of some chemicals.
The Turkish Army is not new to the use of chemical weapons. Indeed in
August this year the IHD Amed (Diyarbakir) branch had published a
detailed report on the use of chemical weapons.
