Why Cannot Petrol Prices be Controlled?

Some years back, the then American President George W Bush had blamed the Indian and Chinese leaders for the massive increase in the prices of petrol and other petroleum products. Even a great liar like George Bush was actually speaking the truth!

The Indian politicians and bureaucrats are really responsible for the regular increases in the prices of petroleum products not only in India, but also in the rest of the world. We should not think that the massive losses amounting to lakhs of crores of rupees are caused only by scams like the ones involving the allocation of 2G Spectrum and the contracts given for the conduction of Commonwealth Games.

We should know that the Indian politicians and bureaucrats have benami shares in the oil companies through their relatives and cronies. For many years, our extremely corrupt politicians, bureaucrats and businessmen have been secretly getting the shares of Indian and multinational oil companies with the massive funds generated by big bribes, black-marketing and profiteering. The Indian politicians and bureaucrats are benami partners of oil companies in India and even many foreign countries. So how can these extremely corrupt fellows be expected to avoid increasing their own profits, which they get by hiking the prices of petroleum products? They have a vested interest in increasing the prices of such essential commodities.

It is now very clear that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh does not care even for the massive popular anger caused by the hike in petrol prices. In the Cannes city of France, where he was attending the G-20 deliberations, he is reported to have told the journalists, "We must move in the direction of decontrolling more prices. I have no hesitation in saying markets must find their own levels." Manmohan Singh has clearly hinted about the massive hikes that shall take place in the prices of diesel, kerosene and cooking gas, which will soon be decontrolled.

This same hypocritical fellow, Manmohan Singh, has been very active in bailing out Greece from its financial crisis. Have we no right to know how many billion dollars of Indian money he has secretly pledged for bailing out Greece? Why should the Indian Prime Minister be more concerned about bailing out Greece, while he is unconcerned about the increase in the price of petrol, which is causing extreme misery to the poor people of India? Why is Manmohan Singh shedding tears for the Greeks?

Who has given Manmohan Singh the right to force the poor people of India to pay a very heavy price for bailing out Greece?

Poor Bengalis Don't Trust
Mamata Banerjee Any More

"Enough is enough," an angry West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has been reported to have told the Congress, as the survival of Manmohan Singh's UPA government depended on the support of Trinamool Congress and other allies. The MPs of Mamata Banerjee's party had "unanimously decided to withdraw from the ruling coalition." So why is Mamata Banerjee waiting for Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to return to India for telling him about her party's decision to withdraw support to his government?

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has even reportedly ignored the threat of Trinamool Congress to withdraw its support to the UPA Government at the Center. Justifying the increase in petrol prices, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has stated that there should be further deregulation of fuel prices, by which he meant the decontrol of the prices of diesel, kerosene and cooking gas. Why would the Indian leaders prevent the rise in prices of petrol and other petroleum products, when such hikes in prices increase their hidden incomes in a massive way?

The poor people of West Bengal can no longer trust their Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. At the Center, the Trinamool Congress is in coalition with other parties, which are lead by robbers and thugs, who are mainly interested in cheating and looting the common people of India.
