No change in our protest program: Geelani

GK NEWS NETWORK

Srinagar, Sept 17: Chairman of Hurriyat (G) Syed Ali Shah Geelani has maintained that there will be no change in the Conglomerate's sit in program outside the security camps in the Valley on September 21.
In a statement, Geelani accused the Army and Indian media of trying to sabotage the sit-in outside the security camps.

"I want to maintain that the sit-in outside the Army and security camps will be peaceful.
Ironically, the Indian media and Army is projecting the program in such a way as if people are going to attack the security camps," Geelani said.

Elaborating, Geelani said people will march towards the security camps in their respective areas "However, only three persons will handover a memo to the troopers asking them to leave Kashmir. The other people including youngsters will remain far away from the camps," he said.

Geelani strongly condemned the killings in Shirpora, Shopian and Narbal and accused the Government of using Army to quell the ongoing movement by innocent killings.

"New Delhi and the State Government are leaving no stone unturned to make the Kashmiris surrender before the barrel of gun. They have held the Kashmiris hostage to break their resolve. But the stiff resistance and sacrifices rendered by Kashmiris during the past 63 years should serve as glaring example of our resolve to attain right to self-determination," Geelani said.
